How does induction mode work?

Play anything on your phone, then rest the phone on the stand with its speaker facing the pad. Perch picks the sound up through induction and plays it through its own driver. No pairing, no app, no Bluetooth. It works with any phone that has a speaker, and the result depends on your phone's volume, so turn it up.

When should I use Bluetooth instead?

For tablets and laptops, for playing from across the room, or when you want to keep the phone in your hand. Pair once over Bluetooth 5.4 and it reconnects on its own after that.

Does it hold a tablet?

Yes. The foot folds out and the stand tilts to 75 degrees, which takes a full-size tablet in landscape. Open the foot fully for anything bigger than a phone.

Does it charge my phone?

No. Perch holds your phone and plays its sound. It does not charge it.

How long does the battery last?

The battery is 1500 mAh. How long that lasts depends on volume and on whether the light is on, so we do not quote a single number. An evening of film at normal volume is comfortably within range. It charges over USB with the cable in the box and works while plugged in.

Can I turn the light off?

Yes. The ring has its own control and can be switched off while the speaker keeps playing.

What colour is it?

Black, with a carbon-fibre texture on the body. There is one colour.

Ordering and delivery

How long will it take?

Most orders arrive in 8 to 15 business days with tracking. The estimate at checkout is the realistic one rather than the optimistic one.

Is shipping really free?

Yes, tracked, on every order in Canada. Shipping to other countries is shown at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged duties at the door?

No. Anything owing is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major cards, plus Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal. Checkout is secured by Shopify. We never see your card details.

Returns and warranty

What if it is not for me?

Send it back within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. No explanation needed, no restocking fee. See the Returns page for how to start one.

What if it stops working?

Twelve-month replacement on defects. Send us a short video and we ship a replacement. You keep the old one.
